The Borough of Port Vue is located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, approximately twelve miles southeast of the city of Pittsburgh. Founded in 1892, the borough was named for the scenic view of the port at McKeesport, located just to the north of town on the Youghiogheny River. Presently, Port Vue is home to approximately 3,800 residents who enjoy the magnificent seasonal climate that graces that region with four beautiful changing seasons each year.
Family, friends, and neighbors are important in Port Vue. At the center of community activities and events are the Mon Vue and Romaine Avenue recreational facilities. Amenities of the facilities include baseball and softball fields, tennis and basketball courts, horseshoe pits, shuffleboard courts, and a dek hockey court, as well as numerous community events held throughout the year that include “Fun to be a Kid Day,” outdoor movies “Under the Stars,” and a “Bike Rodeo” held each spring.
