The Borough of Jefferson Hills is located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, approximately fourteen miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Initially created in 1828 as Jefferson Township and named in honor of former president Thomas Jefferson, the town’s name was changed to Jefferson Hills by referendum on November 3, 1998. Presently home to a population of approximately 10,000, Jefferson Hills’ affordable cost of living, magnificent seasonal climate, and convenient proximity to the amenities of the city of Pittsburgh make it ideal for residents and visitors alike.
