West Elizabeth is a borough located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Initially settled in 1833 as a coal mining and boat-building town, West Elizabeth was incorporated in 1848 and today is home to approximately 500 residents who enjoy the quiet suburban lifestyle, as well as the lovely seasonal weather that graces the region with four beautiful changing seasons each year.
West Elizabeth is home to Butler’s Golf Course, a popular public golfing facility that is comprised of two 18-hole golf courses known respectively as Woodside and Lakeside. The borough is also home to Round Hill Park, featuring 1,100-acres of park and farmland with amenities that include picnic groves, soccer fields, a spray park, hiking and horseback riding trails, floral and agricultural gardens, and a working exhibit farm that features an interpretive program that is open to the public.
